Many congratulations to Michael, the new King of the Mountain.Motorcycle road racing in Ulster has been permitted on closed public roads since the passing of the Northern Ireland Road Racing Act of 1922. Notably, the earliest road racing events included the Ulster Grand Prix in 1923 and the North West 200 in 1929 whose name refers to the original 200-mile distance that the riders had to race. Specifically, a key role in the history of Ulster's road racing development was the availability of public transport that brought spectators to each of the events to watch their favorite riders race around the local streets.Enjoy the World-Renowned Ulster Motorcycle Racing Events video clip below and check out the some of today's fastest and most exhilarating road racing and short circuit motorcycle events that Northern Ireland can offer.
